Cole Balzer

I run a home lab server to learn more about networking and all it has to offer. I am a current Mohawk College student working towards a degree in 'Computer Systems Network Technician'. I have a passion for working on and fixing the devices we use everyday and want to continue to put myself in situations to learn. I am currently looking to gain more experience in the field and take on bigger tasks.

Home Server

Running off an old laptop
Ubuntu Server installed
File server configured
Docker configured
Apache configured (hosting this website!)
Secure vpn configured
Plex server configured
Dynamic dns configured (thanks duckdns!)

Home Network

CAT6 ran into 4 rooms
2 Ethernet ports per room
Unmanaged switch connecting the ports to the router
learned to install rj-45 connectors
learned how to run cable
